Built in 1933, the hotel was designed by John Graham Johnson from Victoria with a nod to Tudor Revival. It was the first building Johnson designed in BC, the genesis of a respected career. The building sits on 0.24 acres of prime land in the center of downtown Cumberland when combined with the vacant lot immediately adjacent to the west. These lots are available as a pair but with a respectable offer, can be purchased separately. The zoning is Vcmu which allows for everything from retail and commercial enterprises to restaurants and residential projects. The hotel is striking in its' design, history and potential. The King George has many character features and 5950 square feet of prospective renovations. The building does not have a heritage designation which opens up endless possibilities. Cumberland is a growing community with a need for an increase in services and residential properties. You can profit as well as assist the community.
